Abu Dhabi, March 1: The United Arab Emirates has announced that all schools and higher education institutions across the country will shift to online learning from March 2 to March 4, authorities confirmed on Sunday.
The decision was jointly announced by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in response to the current situation in the country.
The directive applies to all public and private schools, as well as universities nationwide. Students, teachers, and administrative staff are required to follow remote learning procedures during the specified period.
Officials stated that the situation will be continuously assessed, and further decisions — including a possible extension of online classes — will be taken based on developments.
The move aims to ensure the safety of students and staff while maintaining continuity in education during this period.
