Thiruvananthapuram: A young doctor was arrested at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport for possessing cannabis, officials said on Saturday.
The arrest was made during a routine security check after officials grew suspicious and conducted a detailed inspection. Cannabis was found concealed in the doctor’s luggage.
According to sources, the accused had arrived at the airport to travel abroad. Following the discovery, he was taken into custody, questioned, and later formally arrested.
Police have launched a detailed investigation into the case to determine the source of the cannabis and whether others are involved in the incident.
