DUBAI: The Hajj Guidance Class organized by the Al Hamid Hajj & Umrah Cell concluded here, offering pilgrims a profound spiritual foundation and practical knowledge for their upcoming sacred journey. The session emphasized that Hajj is not merely a physical journey but a golden opportunity for unwavering devotion and self-purification, describing a well-informed and sincere pilgrimage as the greatest blessing in a believer’s life. The Al Hamid Hajj & Umrah Cell has been a cornerstone of Umra pilgrimage services for over three decades, earning acclaim for its dedicated support to the community.
The sessions were led by prominent scholars Mustafa Maulavi and Shanif Baqavi, who provided end-to-end practical demonstrations ranging from the protocols of wearing the Ihram to the intricacies of Tawaf, Sa’i, and the prayer-filled moments of Arafah. A standout feature of the class was the life-size architectural models of the Holy Kaaba and Safa-Marwa, meticulously arranged by Viqaya volunteers. These models allowed pilgrims to visualize and practice the rituals, significantly boosting their confidence and clarity regarding the journey ahead.
The event was inaugurated by Shoukathali Hudawi and presided over by Jaleel Haji, with Abdul Jaleel Darimi leading the concluding prayer. During the ceremony, a formal farewell was accorded to Sooppi Haji Kadavathur, Treasurer of the Dubai Sunni Centre, who is among the pilgrims performing Hajj this year.
The gathering saw the participation of several community leaders and scholars, including Sayyid Sakkeer Hussain Thangal, P.P. Ibrahim Faizy, Hussain Darimi, K.T. Abdul Khader Maulavi, Jamal Haji, Hassan Ramanthali, Saeed Thalipparamba, Riyas Ash’ari, Salam Vettathur, Jaleel Edakkulam, and Rafeeq Ethirthod. M.A. Salam Rahmani welcomed the attendees, and Fasil Mettammal delivered the vote of thanks.
