Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the expansion of licensing opportunities for new technical vehicle testing and registration centres across three major areas in Dubai-Deira, Bur Dubai, and Mohammed Bin Rashid City.
The move allows existing service providers and new investors to apply for licences to establish additional centres or launch new operations, in accordance with approved regulatory standards and requirements.
The initiative is part of RTA’s broader strategy to expand its network of vehicle testing and registration facilities, ensuring greater accessibility for residents across the emirate. It comes in response to Dubai’s rapid urbanisation, population growth, and the continued expansion of commercial and investment activities.
By increasing the number of service centres, RTA aims to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of vehicle licensing services while reducing congestion at existing facilities. The authority also emphasised that the initiative supports its vision of delivering customer-centric services aligned with global best practices.
The expansion further reinforces RTA’s commitment to strengthening public-private partnerships. By encouraging private sector participation, the authority seeks to stimulate economic growth, improve infrastructure development, and elevate service delivery standards across Dubai.
RTA confirmed that it will provide support to investors throughout the application process, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. The authority also aims to enhance inspection efficiency and contribute to improved road safety across the emirate.
Currently, Dubai has 29 approved vehicle testing and licensing service centres equipped with advanced technologies and staffed by qualified professionals. These centres are designed to deliver high-quality services and seamless customer experiences, in line with Dubai’s ongoing efforts to streamline government services and improve operational efficiency.
