The UAE Ministry of Defense has confirmed that one civilian was killed in the UAE following the fall of debris from ballistic missiles launched by Iran, which were intercepted by the country’s air defence systems.
According to the Ministry, the attack involved multiple ballistic missiles, several of which were successfully intercepted with high efficiency. Some missile debris landed in a residential area, causing material damage and resulting in the death of a civilian of Asian nationality.
Authorities stated that the security situation across the UAE remains stable and under full control, with all concerned agencies maintaining continuous monitoring. The Ministry strongly condemned the attack, stating that it represents a serious escalation and a violation of international law and national sovereignty.
The UAE reaffirmed its categorical rejection of any targeting of civilians or civilian infrastructure and confirmed its right to respond appropriately to safeguard its security and stability. The Ministry also emphasised that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains a top priority.
Members of the public were urged to follow official announcements and avoid sharing rumours or unverified information during this period.
