The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a comprehensive series of Ramadan initiatives across Dubai under the theme “Family is Where We Belong,” focusing on humanitarian outreach and community engagement.
The programme will benefit underprivileged families, orphans, frontline workers, drivers and public transport users throughout the Holy Month.
In partnership with entities such as Keolis MHI, DAMAC Properties, Noon, Beit Al Khair Society, Al Ahliah Charity Schools and Dar Al Hay Gents Tailoring, RTA is reinforcing community cooperation through structured charitable efforts.
The “Meals on Wheels” initiative will distribute 8,000 meals prepared by RTA employees and volunteers at RTA headquarters and Quranic Park. Iftar meals will also be distributed at Metro stations to drivers and workers.
Under the “Ramadan Rations” initiative, 500 nol cards will be provided to eligible families, with part of the distribution conducted directly at beneficiaries’ homes and the remainder through Beit Al Khair Society.
RTA will further enhance the Ramadan spirit by displaying the “Ramadan in Dubai” logo on digital signboards and organising a decorated abra parade.
The authority will also run the “Thank You, RTA Heroes” appreciation campaign on social media, rewarding impactful appreciation messages with nol cards and vouchers.
As Ramadan concludes, the “Eid Joy” initiative will provide Eid clothing and cash gifts to students in collaboration with Dar Al Hay Gents Tailoring and Al Ahliah Charity Schools.
Through these initiatives, RTA continues to strengthen its role in fostering compassion, unity and quality of life in Dubai.
