The world’s largest book sale fair, Big Bad Wolf Books (BBW), officially opened its 2026 Dubai edition at the Sound Stage, Dubai Studio City. The 10-day mega book event runs from February 26 to March 8, offering readers access to more than one million books under one roof.
Organised in collaboration with Sharjah Book Authority and Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the fair features discounts of up to 95 percent, with book prices starting from just AED 2. Entry to the event is free.
Speaking at the opening, BBW Founder Andrew Yap said the core mission of Big Bad Wolf Books is to make reading accessible to everyone and to ensure that every individual can own books affordably. The fair coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, offering families a meaningful cultural and educational outing.
The exhibition features a vast collection spanning fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, cooking, education, management, self-development, motivation, art, culture, and research. Visitors can explore bestsellers and diverse international titles in a large warehouse-style exhibition hall.
This year’s edition is themed “Beyond the Noise,” highlighting a return to mindful and meaningful reading amid increasing digital consumption. Unlike conventional commercial book fairs, BBW focuses on creating an immersive, family-friendly reading experience across its global editions.
To support education, students and teachers presenting valid school IDs receive an additional 5 percent discount on all English books. The initiative also supports libraries and educational institutions in building affordable book collections.
The fair operates daily from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM, with food trucks offering international cuisines, prayer facilities for visitors observing Ramadan, and special children’s reading zones. Weekend programmes include creative workshops, storytelling sessions, and writing activities. A special highlight this year is the “Stage Write 2026” 48-hour theatre scriptwriting competition, with winning entries earning cash vouchers and a live stage performance opportunity in collaboration with The Junction.
Visitors spending a minimum of AED 200 also stand a chance to win exciting prizes, including a MacBook Air, through a raffle draw.
