In a significant move toward digital governance, the UAE now allows residents to submit complaints, crime reports, and personal applications online through integrated government platforms. The initiative eliminates the need to visit multiple offices, creating a streamlined, legally binding digital reporting system.
Residents can now:
- Report consumer issues like faulty products or unfair business practices via the Ministry of Economy and Tourism.
- Submit labor disputes digitally, including domestic worker cases, through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
- File criminal and cybercrime reports online with the Ministry of Interior and anonymously report security concerns via the State Security Department (SSD), operating 24/7 through apps, websites, and SMS.
- Lodge financial and insurance complaints, initiate divorce proceedings, or report lost national ID cards digitally.
All electronic reports are legally recognized under UAE federal legislation on electronic transactions and trust services, ensuring security, privacy, and authenticity. This system represents a transformative shift, enabling faster, safer, and more accessible reporting for all residents.
